Commentary | After Sancho's departure, don Quixote remains alone in the palace and is accosted by Altisidora and Emerencia during the night.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Atisidora is playing the harp in the garden, while don Quixote (with serious face) hears her song through the bars of the window. Drawing and engraving of unequal quality; good and detailed setting but light disproportions in figures (Altisidora). |
