Commentary | The Duchess' page knelt before Teresa Panza, Sancho's wife, and her daughter Sanchica.
Figures resolved with remarkable satirical realism; both Teresa and her daughter as real peasant women; see their faces and expressions. Usual in Heath's illustrations, notice the use of white and black contrasts to create plastic effects. Excellent drawing. |
