Commentary | Copy from Bouttats' composition (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672 - 1673). Two different scenes in the same illustration. In the foreground, don Antonio Moreno shows the enchanted head to don Quixote, Sancho, his wife and some friends. According to Cervantes' text, the head has the shape of a Roman bust. In the background, the second scene: don Quixote rides Rocinante through Barcelona with a parchment at his back. Don Quixote's name is written in it.
