| Commentary | Original choice and very accurate representation; doña Rodríguez and her daughter kneel down before don Quixote asking for his help; their figures, totally covered by black cloaks (we only see doña Rodríguez's appealing hands), are very remarkable (perfectly shaded); also the Duke, the Duchess and two servants.
Good use of engraving (see fine burin lines in don Quixote and Duchess' figures). |
