Commentary | In the center of the composition, Basilio, fakely stabbed, gets married with Quiteria; in the left background, Camacho gesticulates angry; in the right foreground, don Quixote and Sancho observe them.
The group of the priest, Quiteria, Basilio and a gossiping woman is quite remarkable. Drawing and engraving are quite good; this is one of the best prints of the whole set. |
Notes | 1 - Plate XXII.
2 - The position of Quiteria, Basilio and don Quixote has been partially copied after Paris: Didot, 1799. |
