| Commentary | Despite the title, the illustration alludes to don Quixote making his will; around him, the barber or Sansón Carrasco, the greyhound, the notary, Sancho and the priest.
Don Quixote appears well lighted, as center of the whole composition. Excellent engraving; it suggests a dense atmosphere. The housekeeper and the niece look like two figures from a painting by the neoclassical painter David. |
