Commentary | Three different scenes (archaic):
In the background: don Quixote attacking the windmills and Sancho trying to stop him. In the middle ground, Sancho is beaten by the friars' servants. In the foreground, don Quixote fighting against the Basque; also the carriage with Basque ladies. Drawing and engraving done to look archaic. |
