Commentary | In the foreground, don Quixote is served by Duchess' maidens; "salió a la gran sala, adonde halló a las doncellas puestas en ala tanto a una parte como a otra, y todas con aderezo de darle aguamanos" (31:2).
In the background, through a door, the Duke, the Duchess and the ecclesiastic wait don Quixote for eating. Drawing and engraving are very remarkable; well-detailed illustration. |
