Commentary | Tender and bucolic scene; Andrés embracing don Quixote's legs in the foreground.
Accurate to setting details: "les dio voces Maese Nicolás, que se esperasen un poco que quería deterse a beber en una fuentecilla que allí estaba" (31:1); and action: "y abrazándole por las piernas, comenzó a llorar muy de propósito" (31:1). Don Quixote with a gesture of surprise; Sancho, the priest, the barber (with the fake beard), Cardenio and Dorotea sat eating. Drawing and engraving are not too much remarkable, but acceptable. |
