Commentary | Sancho, in Turkish clothes, is taken over shoulders through Barataria Island streets; several figures observe him from windows, stairs, walls, towers and balconies.
Well-created and carefully-designed composition and detailed architecture. Remarkable shading and excellent engraving; good use of dotted manner/stipple. |
Notes | 1 - Copy after Coypel's illustration (La Haye: Hondt, 1746; originally engraved for Paris: Surugue, c. 1728-30). |
