Commentary Don Quixote, asleep and with a blanket around his left arm, attacks the wineskins; the innkeeper, the priest, Sancho, Cardenio and the barber enter into the room.
Well-known and often illustrated scene.
Light and shadow effects are remarkable (from innkeeper's lamp); notice the contrast between don Quixote, well-lighted, and the other figures.
Remarkable use of dotted manner/stipple.
Notes 1 - Copy after Antonio Carnicero's illustration for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
