Commentary | Don Quixote, with his back turned on the viewer, attacks one friar of Saint Benedict, who has fallen from his mule.
Also Sancho Panza and another friar with a parasol. In the background, the carriage of the lady and the Basque (don Quixote's next adventure). Drawing and engraving are quite remarkable; notice the use of dotted manner, almost like mezzotint in some parts of the illustration (clouds). |
