| Commentary | In the whole composition, the two shepherdesses, richly dressed, have been highlighted; their white dresses stand out over the dark background, where don Quixote and Sancho are almost hidden.
Painter and engraver have recreated their dresses in a very remarkable and higly-detailed way. The gestures of the shepherdesses are theatrical, but good. |
