Commentary | In Sierra Morena, don Quixote and Sancho find a portmanteau with some rich clothes, money and one book (Cardenio's).
Sancho observes the clothes while don Quixote reads the book. Acceptable drawing and engraving for this small size format. |
Notes | 1 - Good copy in a small size format after Antonio Carnicero's illustration for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
2 - Placed as frontispiece for tome II. 3 - Tomes I and II are bound together in vol. I in Cushing copy. |
