Commentary | Princess Micomicona (Dorotea) keels before don Quixote and the knight tries to prevent her from doing it.
On the left, Sancho. Don Quixote's arms remain hanged on a tree. Cardenio and the priest have not been represented. Drawing and engraving are quite good; notice don Quixote's gesture and expression, remarkable face. |
Notes | 1 - Same plate first used for Paris: Delongchamps, 1824, but the figure of the squire (the barber disguised as Micomicona's page with a fake beard) has been erased and the veil of Dorotea re-engraved. |
