Commentary | Don Quixote, at the head of the table, continues his speech about arms and letters; at his right (accurate to Cervantes' text), the princess Micomicona (Dorotea), Luscinda, Zoraida, the priest and the barber; at his left, don Fernando, Cardenio and the captive; also in the scene, Sancho, the innkeeper, his wife and his daughter and don Fernando's companions.
Good drawing and remarkable use of light and shadow contrasts. |
Notes | 1 - Very influenced by Ricardo Balaca y Canseco's illustration for Barcelona: Montaner & Simón, 1880-83. |
