| Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho meets Tosilos again, but don Quixote, angry, decides to continue his way; Sancho remains eating with Tosilos.
Accurate to Cervantes' text; "Rióse el lacayo, desenvainó su calabaza, desalforjó sus rajas, y sacando un panecillo, él y Sancho se sentaron sobre la yerba verde" (66:2). Bucolic and country scene without don Quixote. Strange composition: Tosilos and the donkey are with their backs turned on the viewer; just Sancho looks at the viewer. |
