| Commentary | Sancho Panza, before confessing to the Duchess the truth about Dulcinea's enchantment, checks that there is nobody listening behind the tapestries. Accurate to Cervantes' text: "... se levantó Sancho de la silla, y con pasos quedos, el cuerpo agobiado, y el dedo puesto sobre los labios anduvo por toda la sala, levantando los doseles" (33:2).
Setting not too much worked; just the necessaries details for the narration (curtain and chair). Excellent engraving (seee textures in women's dresses); drawing and engraving are highly detailed in these 18th century court dresses. |
