Commentary | Doña Rodríguez asks don Quixote to help her daughter.
The illustration is not accurate to Cervantes' text, since this scene takes place while don Quixote is with the Duke and the Duchess. It has been copied an illustration about don Quixote with his housekeeper and his niece and the meaning has been changed. Acceptable drawing, but not remarkable. |
Notes | 1 - Copy after Tony Johannot's design (Paris: Dubochet, 1836-37).
2 - The copy was done after Joaquín Heredia's lithograph for Mexico: Ignacio Cumplido, 1842. |
