Commentary | When don Lorenzo finishes reciting his gloss, don Quixote stands up and in a loud voice, grasping don Lorenzo's right hand, praises him; also Sancho, don Diego and his wife.
The scene has been resolved in a very accurate way; observe that, in the print, don Quixote grasps don Lorenzo's left hand, but it is due to the inversion of the engraving; in Johannot's original drawing, it would be the right hand. |
