Commentary | Well-known scene since Bouttats (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672 - 1673); don Quixote defeats Alonso López (one of the churchmen carrying a dead body) and draws his lance against him; Alonso López, accurate to Cervantes' text, lies onto the ground with a broken leg and lighted by a torch. |
