Commentary | Don Quixote, holding some acorns and surrounded by goatherds, delivers his speech about the Golden Age.
This is one of Johannot's most remarkable illustrations; see don Quixote's gesture, the variety of the faces of the goatherds (listening to don Quixote with attention), the different use of drawing/engraving (more or less marked according to the position of the figure). |
