Commentary | Second scene dedicated to this adventure; after trying to attack the merchants, don Quixote is beaten up by one of their grooms.
The scene is quite well-resolved; don Quixote and Rocinante fallen in the foreground (clearly-drawn and engraved), the groom moving towards him in the middle ground (with not so much marked drawing and engraving) and the merchants observing them from the background (just sketched behind a dust cloud). |
