Commentary | After the third sally, don Quixote and Sancho return to their village.
Don Quixote is welcome by the priest and the bachelor Sansón Carrasco. Sancho's donkey carries the clothes from Altisidora's adventure. Accurate to Cervantes' text, some boys pointing to the donkey: "venid, mochachos, y vereis el asno de Sancho Panza mas galan que Mingo..." (73:2). Acceptable engraving, but poor; deficient printing. |
