Commentary | Sancho, seizing a torch, charges against the dueñas that were pinching and smacking him.
In the middle ground, Altisidora pretending to be dead on a catafalque, with a palm branch between his arms and surrounded by lighted tapers. In the background, on a stage, the Duke, Duchess, Minos, Rhadamantus (both as kings) and don Quixote (he should not appear on this same stage). Acceptable drawing and engraving. |
