| Commentary | At dawn, Sancho discovers the big and fake nose of the Knight of the Mirrors' squire (Tomé Cecial disguised), getting frightened.
One of the first representations of this scene, which became well-known in the 18th and 19th centuries English editions (see London: Hurst, Robinson and Co., 1820). Good engraving; short and curved burin lines have been used to shade the figures and create details. |
