| Commentary | After getting entangled in a bird net, don Quixote encounters two shepherdesses; also Sancho.
In the background, the tent where don Quixote and Sancho eat with some shepherds. The quality of drawing and engraving is unequal; both shepherdesses are remarkable, but don Quixote's head is disproportionate. Notice the pictorial effect in the faces (by stipple). |
