Commentary | After getting entangled in a bird net, don Quixote encounters two shepherdesses; also Sancho.
In the background, the tent where don Quixote and Sancho eat with some shepherds. The quality of drawing and engraving is unequal; both shepherdesses are remarkable, but don Quixote's head is disproportionate. Notice the pictorial effect in the faces (by stipple). |
Notes | 1 - Plate V according to the order of publishing (April 6, 1782), not the chapter order.
2 - All the plates with the same Empire style frame; good decorative effect. |
