Commentary | Basic and conventional composition, but enriched with Coypel´s bucolic and galant style.
Two different scenes: In the foreground, the priest, the barber and Cardenio discover Dorotea (in man clothes), who is washing her feet into a stream. In the background, Sancho tries to convince don Quixote to leave Sierra Morena. Drawing and engraving of good quality. |
