| Commentary | Two different scenes in the same illustration (archaic):
In the background (seen through a balcony), don Quixote and Sancho arrive to their village; also a boy (reference to the boys with a cage of crickets?). In the foreground, don Quixote talking with the priest and the bachelor Sansón Carrasco about his plans for pastoral life; don Quixote's arms hanged on the wall. Very poor drawing and rough engraving; deficient inking/printing; worn block. |
| Notes | 1 – Same wooden block first used for Madrid: Manuel Martín, 1765 (copied after Madrid: Juan de San Martín, 1741).
2 – Copied after Madrid: Antonio Sanz, 1735. |
