Commentary | Basilio, apparently stabbed by himself, gets married with Quiteria (both in the center of the composition).
Good composition, with a great number of figures well-distributed around Basilio and Quiteria; in the right foreground, Camacho; in the left foreground, don Quixote with a consenting gesture. Remarkable drawing and engraving, neat and precise. |
Notes | 1 - Turned and copied after Le Barbier's design for Paris: Didot L'ainé-Deterville, 1799.
2 - Placed as frontispiece. 3 - Signed and dated in 1800. |
