Commentary | In Montesinos' cave, Montesinos himself introduces Durandarte, death on his own tomb, to don Quixote.
Well-proportionate figures; remarkable drawing and engraving One of the best illustrations of the whole edition; Vernet's drawings have more quality than Lami's, and Prevost's engravings more than Lignon's. Don Quixote's figure and face are very remarkable. Setting in keeping with Romanticism taste (Arab and medieval architecture). |
