Commentary | Countess Trifaldi, followed by the pages that hold the three points of her skirt, kneels before don Quixote, Sancho, the Duke and the Duchess; also in the scene, white-bearded Trifaldí (holding a huge sword, although it should be a scimitar).
Countes Trifaldi and the other dueñas appear without beards, great mistake. Good drawing and engraving. |
Notes | 1 - "Todo parece hecho aquí a la buena de Dios: el duque luce en su pecho el toisón de oro. ¡Adelante, no importa!" (Givanel 206). |
