Commentary | At Barataria Island, governor Sancho, tied between two shields and fallen on the floor, is trampled by some soldiers fighting with swords and torches.
Acceptable setting. Drawing and engraving are good. |
Notes | 1 - Previous illus. by Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657) or Clouzier (Paris: Compagnie des Libraires, 1700) have been modified; never before Sancho had appeared fallen on the floor. |
