| Commentary | In the foreground, two maidens beat doña Rodríguez's ass with a slipper; "que la asían de la garganta con dos manos tan fuertemente, que no la dejaban gañir, y que otra persona con mucha presteza, sin hablar palabra, le alzaba las faldas, y con un al parecer chinela, le comenzó á dar tantos azotes que era una compasión" (48:2).
