Commentary The Duchess' page, knelt down before Teresa Panza, hands her a string of corals; "una sarta de corales con extremos de oro" (50:2).
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Teresa appears with a ball of tow that she was spinning.
Sanchica is older here than in a previous illustration (f.p. 40).
Setting too much "rustic".
Good drawing and engraving; remarkable large size figures.
Notes 1 - Same plate from London: Tonson, 1738 Spanish edition and London: Tonson, 1742 English edition.
