Commentary | The Duchess' page, knelt down before Teresa Panza, hands her a string of corals; "una sarta de corales con extremos de oro" (50:2).
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Teresa appears with a ball of tow that she was spinning. Sanchica is older here than in a previous illustration (f.p. 40). Setting too much "rustic". Good drawing and engraving; remarkable large size figures. |
