Commentary | Well-known scene.
In the foreground, don Quixote has defeated the Knight of the Mirrors (Sansón Carrasco, fallen on the ground); notice don Quixote's threatening face. In the background, the squire (Tomé Cecial with a big fake nose) looks at Sancho, who remains climbed on the tree. Sancho's figure is forced; the figure of the Knight of the Mirrors is remarkable. |
