Commentary | In Sierra Morena, don Quixote and Sancho find a portmanteau with some rich clothes, money and one book (Cardenio's).
Sancho observes the clothes while don Quixote reads the book. Good illustration as a whole, but some details are clumsy (compare don Quixote's hand and head). Highly-detailed burin engraving; good shading (clothes, vegetation...). |
Notes | 1 - Photomechanical copy of the illustration appeared in Madrid: Ibarra, 1780. |
