| Commentary | At night, don Quixote makes the companions of a dead body flee away (in the background); one of them is Alonso López.
In the foreground, lighted by a fallen torch, don Quixote aims his lance against him. Sancho observes him holding a chicken; "andaba ocupado desbalijando una acémila de repuesto que traían aquellos buenos señores bien abastecida de cosas de comer" (19:1). Excellent drawing and engraving. |
