| Commentary | Don Quixote, after having fought with a flock of sheep, has been stoned by the shepherds; Sancho counts how many teeth remain in his mouth.
From the whole episode, it has been chosen a comical/kind scene that shows the mutual care relation between don Quixote and Sancho; it has been chosen neither the previous fight nor the next scene (don Quixote and Sancho vomiting), two scenes of crude humour. In the background, the shepherds bringing the flock together. |
| Notes | 1 - This episode was already represented by Vanderbank in London: Tonson, 1738. |
