| Commentary | In Sierra Morena, Princess Micomicona (Dorotea) kneels before don Quixote begging for his help; also Sancho and the barber, disguised as Micomicona's squire with a fake beard (ox-tail).
In the background, the priest and Cardenio observe the scene hidden. Some accurate details: don Quixote holds a rosary (used during his previous penance) and his arms remain hung on a tree. Excellent illustration; well-drawn and detailed figures; theatrical composition. |
