Commentary | Don Quixote, mounted on Rocinante, charges against a flock of sheep despite Sancho's advice (gesticulating in the background); the shepherds begin to stone don Quixote to stop him.
Well-known scene, resolved with little novelty. Drawing and engraving are very remarkable; good and highly-detailed illustration. |
Notes | 1 - Process reproduction of Pinelli's etching for Roma: R. Gentilucci, 1833-34.
2 - Wrongly-placed in chapter 39:1. |
