Commentary | The illustration follows Barret's adapted translation, quite different from Cervantes' original text; in the Duke's castle, don Quixote bows and tumbles off Rocinante because Sancho forgets to hold his stirrup.
In Cervantes' original text, this scene takes place in chapter 30:2, when don Quixote and Sancho have just met the Duchess and the Duke. Good drawing style (quick and expressive sketching lines) and well-resolved figures. |
