Commentary Well-known scene; don Quixote is defeated by the Knight of the White Moon on Barcelona shore; Sancho, don Antonio Moreno, the viceroy and others observe the scene.
Dorè, to create a more original illustration, have changed the traditional composition; now, don Quixote and the knight have been placed in the background and don Antonio and companions in the foreground.
