Commentary | In the center of the composition, don Quixote kneels before the innkeeper (holding a book and a sword).
In the background, doña Molinera with don Quixote's spurs and doña Tolosa with his sword. In the foreground, a candle, held by a boy, creates interesting light and shadow effects (see innkeeper, don Quixote's armour...). Good drawing and engraving. |
