| Commentary | The innkeeper Juan Palomeque enters don Quixote's room and discovers the fight among Sancho, Maritornes (who tries to hide) and the muleteer.
Don Quixote remains half-dead on his broken bed (feet in the foreground). Remarkable use of wood engraving to create effective black and white contrasts and figures of great volume; notice the use of very fine lines. |
