Commentary | Discovering his village from a hill, Sancho falls on his knees exclaiming "Open thine eyes, O my beloved country!...".
Well-known image, but usually don Quixote is also represented. Good drawing and pleasant coloring; in keeping with an edition for children. |
Notes | 1 - The illustration is well-placed according to its page reference, but it appears in chapter XXVII of this edition (29:2) although it refers to chapter XXVIII (72:2). It should appear after next illustration in p. 319 (DQ defeated by the Knight of the White Moon). |
