Commentary In the foreground, don Quixote attacking the flock of sheep.
In the background, the shepherds preparing their slings to stone don Quixote while Sancho gesticulates to stop him.
Certain disproportion between Rocinante and the sheeps.
The scene has been represented with a composition already used in London: Hodgkin, 1687.
Carefully-done drawing and engraving of great quality.
Notes 1 - Plate dated in 1745.
2 - Ashbee (art. 22) refers to a plate without date engraved by Ravenet with the reference "Chez Ravenet". Maybe, it was engraved c. 1733-45 and, then, copied by Schley.
