Commentary | In Sierra Morena, don Quixote and Sancho find a suitcase (Cardenio's portmanteau); while don Quixote reads Cardenio's travel book, Sancho finds a bag with some coins.
The scene tries to be "Spanish" (notice Sancho's clothes), but the result is too folkloristic. The illustration has been resolved with a pleasant style, with pastel coloring. Also with a ornamental frame with chivalry books and arms (lances, helmets, shield...). |
