| Commentary | Some Duchess' maidens washing and soaping don Quixote's beard after his meal with the Duke and Duchess.
Well-known scene, but remarkable representation of the episode, with good sense of humor (notice that none of the maidens has placed a basin under don Quixote's head, so the one pouring water on his head is wetting him all) and very elegant and detailed figures. |
