Commentary | After having been beaten up by a groom, don Quixote is found by his neighbor Pedro Alonso, who helps him to returns home.
Don Quixote's figure, still lying on the ground and raising his hand towards Pedro Alonso (believing he is the Marquis of Mantua), is quite remarkable. Scholz' style is clearly reflected in Pedro Alonso's figure, almost grotesque. |
